The Department of Justice's Office for Victims of Crime, in collaboration with the Access to Justice Initiative and the Elder Justice Initiative, recently released three modules of a free online training on elder abuse for legal services providers.  These modules cover an introduction to elder abuse, ethical and practical issues, and domestic violence and sexual assault in later life.  A module on financial exploitation should be released shortly.  Click here to access the training.

MEJI is pleased to have served as Subject Matter Experts in the development of these modules.  We are grateful for the Department of Justice's Office of Victims of Crimes' recognition of the importance of legal services lawyers' representation of and advocacy for clients facing elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
