MEJI is pleased to be working with its long-time advocacy partner, The National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care, on a project funded by the federal Administration for Community Living. The project seeks to encourage closer collaboration between long term care ombudsman staff across the country and their local legal services providers to ensure long term care consumers receive the legal support they need. The project will propose strategies to develop and strengthen the relationship between ombudsman staff and legal services, examine the role of the State Long Term Care Ombudsman Program legal counsel and state legal services developers, and provide educational materials for both legal services providers and ombudsman staff.
